What is the cancellation policy?
At Graceful Balance, we recognize that unforeseen events can sometimes impact your plans. However, please note that due to the nature of booking retreats, all retreat payments are non-refundable, unless the retreat is cancelled by Graceful Balance Wellness. We appreciate your understanding of our policies, as they allow us to provide the best possible experience for all participants. 

Is transportation included?
Transportation is NOT included in the cost of the retreat.

The Lodges at Gettysburg: If driving locally from Hanover, PA or Westminster, MD, the Lodges at Gettysburg is approximately a 35-45 minute drive.

River Mountain: If you are driving locally from Hanover, PA or Westminster, MD it is approximately a 2 hours and 15 minute drive.

Where is the closest airport?
The Lodges at Gettysburg: The closest and most convenient airport is Harrisburg International Airport (a 45-minute drive). Other options would include Washington Dulles International Airport (a 75-minute drive), and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (a 75-minute drive).

River Mountain: The closest airport is Altoona-Blair County Airport (AOO / KAOO) located 22 miles from the center of Everett, PA, and approximately 55 minutes from River Mountain. The larger airports nearest River Mountain would include Harrisburg International Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, or Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

What are the sleeping arrangements and bathrooms like?

River Mountain: The cabin consists of 12 sleeping pods, each with its own privacy curtain. Top bunk skylight beds are given on a first-come, first-served basis in the order of sign-ups. If you require a bottom bunk, please let us know. The cabin features floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights over the sleeping pods. Bedding and linens are provided. There are two full bathrooms in the cabin, as well as a sitting area.

Can I bring my significant other, or child to stay with me if they are not attending the retreat?
No. This retreat is specifically for women. It is an opportunity for you to step outside of your day-to-day life and focus inward. 

What do I need to bring?
Dress is casual and comfortable. The temperature varies so it’s a good idea to bring layers. Please plan to pack clothing that is comfortable to practice yoga in as well as hike in, and that is weather appropriate. Remember to pack footwear that is suitable for walking/hiking. If the retreat you chose has a pool or hot tub, please plan to bring a bathing suit. Bedding, linens and towels are provided. Bring a pen, journal, book and your Bible.
